BILL KIEFFER AND FRANCHISES FOR FATHERS PRESENT:
From Service to CEO: Why Veterans Make Great Franchise Owners
TUESDAY, JANUARY 6, 2026 at 1:00pm EST
Veterans often acquire leadership traits, knowing how to lead teams, serve their communities, and accomplish the mission set before them. Yet, many struggle with the transition to traditional civilian employment where there is no clear sense of mission, no camaraderie, and where the work culture tends toward anemic. Thankfully, there are better options. The leadership traits that veterans often possess translate very well to business ownership. In this webinar + Q&A, we'll show you why franchising can be a rewarding alternative to a traditional job for veterans transitioning to civilian life or looking for a more fulfilling — and lucrative — career.Â

"The truth is that you always know the right thing to do. The tough part is doing it."
— Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf
If you feel unfulfilled in your civilian career, you're not alone. The easy path is to go find a new job. But deep down, you know that you are made for more. You have skills and experience that are underappreciated in the corporate world, and you know that you are called to lead. To plan and execute. To dominate a market. To have agency over your future.
It's in your nature.
As General Schwarzkopf said, you know the truth: You are better suited to be a business owner than to be an employee.
But how? What's the best path to entrepreneurship? And how do you even know what type of business you'd be a good fit for? We'll break it down for you and give you the road map in this webinar, including:
AI and the Current Economic Landscape
Important decisions shouldn't be made in a vacuum. Understanding the headwinds / tailwinds in the current economy — including the state of AI and how it's impacting employment — will help you position yourself for maximum success. We'll lay it out for you, with a clear action plan to set yourself apart.
ROI of Business Ownership vs. a Job
It's not all about the money — and yet, your next career move should be financially smart. We're not anti-job, but we do believe in making informed decisions. We'll break down the costs and benefits of owning a franchise vs. taking a traditional job so that you can see which path offers a stronger return on your skills and effort.
Game Plan for Choosing a Right-Fit Business
There are a lot of factors that go into choosing a business path that will help you achieve the life you truly want after the military. We'll walk you through a practical game plan to match your skills, interests, values, and preferred culture with a business that supports your long-term goals, not just your next paycheck.

Imagine If You Spend the Next 10 Years Building a Business Instead of Grinding Away at a Job. You Could:
✅  Have broadened your skills from hands-on experience including business development, sales and marketing, team leadership, customer service, P&L management, and more
âś…Â Be fulfilled in your work because you're operating in your strengths, defining a work culture that you can be proud of as a leader, and making a positive impact in the world
✅  Have more control over your time and lifestyle — instead of asking for permission to take time off, you'll have far greater say over your schedule, who you work with, and where you live
✅ Impact your community by creating jobs, mentoring a team, and building something that continues to produce value even when you step back from day-to-day operations
✅ Own an asset, not just a résumé; you'll have a business with real market value that you can sell, scale, or leave a legacy by passing it on to your kids
That can absolutely be your reality. We'll walk you through it step-by-step on January 6, 2026. See you then!
There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.
— U.S. General Colin Powell
